KC Affix
« on: September 01, 2012, 09:15:35 AM »
Can anyone tell me how long it normally takes for a KC affix to come though (assuming you get one of the 6 you've chosen  :005: :005:)?

Begining to think I've waited too long to apply for it

We applied online and it took then about a week and a half for them to get back to us. Unfortunately they didn't allow any of our 12 preferences  >:(
Not sure how long it takes if you get one of your choices. I'm sure if you give them a call they would let you know where they are up to. Good luck!

It can take months, as far as I know you can't use it till it's appeared in the Gazette  :-\.

Like Cayley has said, it needs to appear in the following months Gazette and give it time  in case it sounds too similar to somebody elses affix and they object.  I know they normally send the certificate out pretty quick but you're not supposed to use it straight away, at least that was what I was told when I got mine

Yes i'm sure thats what happens  :shades:
I guess if anyone did object you would then have to start again  :-\
I'm pretty sure you can add your affix in retrospect...i changed Nina's to add my affix  :shades:

Give KC aring & tell them you have pups, my friends was done in about a wk, I never send in my pups reg until 6wks, & if you do them on line they are back within a wk, so I don't think you have left it too late, any ideas for Affix, have you a theme for pups names x

As both my sons play in bands and are very musical Coda was named after a musical term and a Led Zeppelin album as my eldest son and I are huge Zep fans. Her KC name is Annickford Magic Flute so I will be trying to follow a musical theme I think ;)
