blue roan and choclate

saw a few new borns today they are only 3 weeks, they are blue roan, the father was steel blue and the mother is a choclate roan, both dogs carry blue and brown,
the pups faces look to have a brown tinge on their faces, is this possible as i have never heard of this colour before

No there is no such colour as blue roan & chocolate. Could the brown tinges be tan markings? If both parents carry the gene for tan markings, then some of the puppies could well be blue roan & tan (with tan on the muzzle, above the eyes, inside the ears etc). The breeder (if knowledgable & experienced) ought to be able to confirm this.

This was our last cocker who was a blue roan and tan.

thats a lovely looking cocker, i have never seen one before with those markings, just need to convince the oh that we need another cocker in our lives, we have a 4 year old girl cocker, she is well settled and i would love another one

Blue Roan & Tan is a lovely colour, not rare as such but not as common as blacks, blue roans etc. Your breeder would know by now if the pups you saw were this colour so perhaps they're not

thank you Jane, I didnt get much time with the breeder or the pups as the breeder had to collect her child from school as he was very sick, i had spent a lot of time on the phone before the meet up so all the questions have been asked, colour isnt important to us.

I will go and see them again at 6 weeks, still planning in my head and asking myself all the right questions, timming may not be right and i may pass this time

It's probably saliva staining on their faces, where mum cleans them and from their own saliva around mums nipples when feeding.
