Chocolate Colouring

Hi

Can anyone tell me how to tell if a chocolate pup is going to be choc and white or roan. somebody did tell me if they have pink feet they will be choc and white and if they have patches on their feet, they will be roans. look forward to your veiws

Liver & white is no different to black & white or orange & white - the same guidelines apply ie those colours which are "and white" retain some pink pigmentation in their feet even into adulthood, also some of the nails may be white but if the feet are fully pigmented after a few weeks, then they are roans.

Rufus is chocolate, and he has chocolate colouring to his lips, lids and pads - it's so cute. Ma wee chocolate puddin'  :P

that is really helpful, as barney who is now 4 and a half weeks is changing by the day in colour the white is getting more and more flecks.

If it's any help, here is how Brodie looked at 4 weeks Here. at 10 weeks Here and now Here (7 months).

The pictures are lovely, its nice to see how the colouring changes on them and hard to believe that they grow up so quick, the last 2 we bred have grown so quickly, hard to believe they are now 6 months, people keep saying thats not the puppys is it, they dont stay small forever.

thankyou for those pics, i look at them and imagine our 5 week baby all grown up and wonder if his colouring will be like that (i hope so brodie is beautiful)
