Waited a few days before harvesting the poo but that's the samples away now. Milly and Chaz have been getting a bit of a complex with the two of us watching their lavatorial perambulations and dashing out to grab a sample while it was fresh

.
The samples were taken "in situ" so to speak and the remaining poo bagged and binned but the performance attracted the attention of one of our neighbours who helpfully offered the loan of a trowel as she thought we were having difficulty getting the poo out of the grass

. She's a lovely old lady but a little confused at times so, when we tried to explain that we were collecting samples to send away for worm testing, she looked a bit puzzled then said that the snow and rain must have killed off quite a few worms over the winter.
We agreed and beat a hasty retreat into the kitchen just before bursting out laughing

. Shame, felt a bit guilty about that as she really is a nice neighbour who was just trying to be helpful.
