Thanks chef - kong recipes
« on: June 25, 2009, 07:32:07 PM »

Just wanted to say thanks to whoever it was that posted the Kong "recipes" on here. (Sorry, cant remember the person's name, or the thread - was just trawling one day and stumbled across it.)
Thought as it was so hot today, we would try the frozen tuna & yoghurt.
Think it was a hit!  ;)

Kept her amused for about 2 hours! :005:

Love the dreamy look on her face - cocker bliss!  :luv:

Shame about the HUGE belly belch that followed  :o Not very ladylike Milly!! :shades:  :005:

Anyone got any more ideas? cottage cheese & apple perhaps? (can you freeze cottage cheese??)

Milly & Jo x

I've done cottage cheese before, mushed it up with banana of all things, they love it. Melted cheese with gravy bones stuck in it is another favourite :P

Hi Waggytails,
I wasn't sure about how much tuna to put in, so i just mixed a couple of forkfulls with the yoghurt incase it didn't agree with her. She's been fine tho.
Seems to freeze quite well.

I will try that tomorrow.  Hattie love her Kong's, but poor Millie has a sensitive tummy and yogurt makes her sick.

I do one small tin of tuna to one natural yoghurt - makes plenty, but then I have 5 kongs to fill up and freeze (but one dog  :005: )

I often use the AMP minces in Honey's kong... or minced tripe...

Sometimes frozen, sometimes not....  :D

Yep, another fan of frozen yoghurt and tuna here  ;) Will have to try the cheese and gravy bone idea; in fact I think I need an extra Kong!

If the girls haven't licked the bowl  ph34r :005: I put the rest of the mixture in the fridge in a tupperware box and refill the kong the next day.
